Electric Mountain Visitor Centre (Closed until Easter 2019)

This is closed until Easter 2019 for refurbishments.

Set against a magnificent backdrop of the mountains and scenery of Snowdonia, an amazing feat of engineering; a power station hidden inside a mountain. At Dinorwig Power Station – the Electric Mountain – water, gravity and man’s ingenuity work together to produce electricity. The largest man- made cavern in Europe, 180 metres long, 25 metres wide and 60 metres deep could happily house the entirety of St Paul’s Cathedral.
